Simon Cowell , the X Factor and American Idol music mogul has claimed that new love Mezhgan Hussainy is ‘the one’… and that he is ready to become a dad.
Although Simon Cowell has had long-term girlfriends in the past – most notably Terri Seymour and Sinitta, two whom he was actually engaged – he always seemed a bit of a slippery fish.
He often insisted that he had no time for a wife and kids because he was already married to his job, but now he’s singing a different tune.
“I think I need to have little Simons around,” Simon has said.
In a candid interview with Piers Morgan for his Life Stories programme, Simon revealed his true feelings for Afghan-born Mezhgan.
“I am smitten with Mezhgan. I think she is the one,” he told his fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge.
“You know when you’ve found somebody very special.”
Simon wouldn’t confirm the rumours that he and Mezhgan are engaged – she was spotted wearing a diamond ring following a Valentine’s Day dinner according to the report in the Daily Star.
Mezhgan was in the audience for the recording of the interview, in which Simon confessed that he had spent £10,000 on getting his teeth fixed and has also had Botox.
Apparently he has not decided whether Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue – who’s expecting her first child in July – will be returning for the next series of X Factor.
He also spoke of his nerves regarding the US version of X Factor.
“The X Factor in the US is going to be my biggest risk,” he said. “Even if it doesn’t work out, I would have regretted not trying.”
